The Asian American Sports Club has officially launched its Pakistan chapter in Lahore, marking a major step toward connecting Pakistani athletes with international training, education, and competition opportunities. The initiative is led by AASC Chairman Sid Siddiqui, who travelled from New York to personally oversee the launch and outline the organisation’s long term vision.
The programme focuses on identifying talented and deserving athletes across Pakistan and providing them with professional coaching, structured development, and access to global sports platforms. AASC is also expanding its partnerships with institutions in China, India, the UAE, Bangladesh, and other countries to strengthen athlete exchange, training standards, and educational support.
A key milestone in this expansion is the affiliation with Central Park Lahore, which has become AASC’s first official partner facility in Pakistan. With seventeen modern sports venues already operational, the facility will host training camps, athlete development programmes, and future international competitions. Under Vision 2030, the goal is to transform the venue into Pakistan’s premier sports city and a hub for youth excellence.
The club will actively support athletes in tennis, cricket, snooker, badminton, arm wrestling, kabaddi, padel tennis, and pickleball. Leadership appointments have also been announced to guide the Pakistan chapter and ensure structured development across each sport.
Importantly, the initiative is not limited to training alone. During this visit, AASC Chairman Sid Siddiqui and the leadership team also distributed tennis suits and related sports gear to deserving and needy athletes, ensuring that talented individuals facing financial challenges receive direct support. In addition, AASC has begun directly supporting underprivileged athletes by providing essential sports equipment, including tennis suits and related gear, to deserving and needy players. This step ensures that financial barriers do not prevent talented individuals from pursuing their dreams. By removing these obstacles, the organisation is helping create equal opportunities for athletes from all backgrounds.
Recent Arm wrestling events supported by AASC saw participation from over 4,000 competitors, demonstrating the scale of talent and enthusiasm present in Pakistan. Future plans include international tennis events, scholarship programmes, overseas training opportunities, and the Fakhre Pakistan Open Challenge, which will further strengthen Pakistan’s presence in global sports.
This expansion reflects the commitment of overseas Pakistanis to invest in youth, nurture talent, and create sustainable pathways for success. The mission is clear. Discover talent. Support athletes. Build confidence. Open global doors. Empower the next generation to represent Pakistan with pride.
